You know what's hard? Life.

Financial security. Some day.

I didn't really put too much weight into what I was doing with my life concerning money until I was 2 grand in debt.

=p

I want to write stuff. And play Sudoku and Gears of War. I want to get paid for these things.

Ahh!

How do people make money? I refuse to major in business!

I repeat: Ahh!

P.S.
I miss you all terribly!

4/19/09 04:02 pm - Hello

My head is swimming with allergies. Almost literally. It's been jumping between sunny and cloudy for about a month, but it's stayed cold. It's almost 80 degrees in the ol' P-land right now, and it feels strange, almost nostalgic. This next weekend it's supposed to be cold and rainy again though. Crazy place, crazy ol' place.

I went to the farmer's market yesterday with Jocelyn yesterday morning. It's probably the fourth or fifth day off we've had since we've started dating. On the plus side, we're not tired of each other, we're just tired of not being able to be with each other. It's rough, but awesome. We watched half of Wizard People last night too. I still recommend that to anyone and everyone willing to give it a chance.

Anyways, I miss everybody. Boring posts are still posts I guess. Jerren, thank you for keeping Livejournal alive and well. =p

Girlfriend girlfriend!

It's nice. Yesterday was our month anniversary. She made me cupcakes and I bought her a coffee cup. I wanted to get her flowers, but time was of the essence, we had to sign the lease to our new place that isn't mold-infested! Hurray!!!

Being sick ain't what it used to be. All 3 of my roommates and myself are sick. I'm basically as layered as I can be and I'm still shivering. I should build some soup...

Life is good though. It just happens to throw curveballs every so often.

Somebody buy me this shirt. )

I can't believe no one commented on my last post. That comic was grand.

*Ahem*

Anyways, life is good, and that goes for everyone. Let life be good and accept challenges as experiences. It gets funny if you do.

Good night friends.

I found a new kick. Canadian webcomic..ists...!!

I finished ol' Harry Potter. It was worth the read, though kind've stressful at times. It was easy readin' and pleasant though, so that eased my mind and helped me escape from the terribly cruel and unforgiving world I live in. ;p

Oh, and I remembered my love for listening to records while cleaning. Nicest ever.

It's a huge turn off...

...

when girls eat with their mouths open. I said it.

I mostly just like the tattoo.

I think I'm getting sick. I hate getting sick. Life is cold blooded, especially when it costs so much to heat your house.

12/16/08 09:12 pm

I need to go on a kick other than being tired unmotivated and lonely. Any ideas?

The snow, the snow. It feels almost like I thought it would, but colder.

I should just finish Harry Potter. I've been on an HP break for too long now.

My chicken is a-cookin'
Spaghetti it is willin'
Me to be a-fillin'
Should be readin' a book an'
Planning winter plans
But let me eat my dinner
Or I may become even thinner.

An ad told me to click for free McRib downloads...

And I nearly clicked it.

We ought to be good stewards with these lives we're given... I hope to find out what that means before I die.

Who'da thunk it? Crazy party, funny people. College students. Crazy women with crazy dudes. I'm glad I grew up where and how I grew up. People get so caught up in terrible things. Life isn't worth it if you can't think it over. People don't progress if they only regress. It takes new. New helps to evaluate the old.

More later, I'll see everyone.

Oh good hiphop, you are great.

Things come together and change form in such an unexpected way. I'm getting used to the cold, getting used to living kind've far away from my work. The apartment is feeling more comfortable as time passes.

I get reminded of why I love Portland when people come and visit. A friend Jessica Madden came down with her 20 month old Marleigh. It was great. I don't think I'll be ready to have a kid until I figure out a way to exchange sleep for some type of energizing jazz music that dreams for you. I'm getting closer to finding it at the very least.

I kind of found out how to play blues harmonica. It turns out you use a harmonica five notes higher than the key you're playing in. Who knew?

A guy let me borrow a science fiction book about a vacuum cleaner that killed someone. It's tricky, because it's thought that a mind was implanted in this vacuum cleaner, so it's considered homicide. When does a human stop being a human? I hope to find out when I finish this book.

Oh great hiphop, you are good.

I don't have a sweetheart. I don't have too many friends. Life can be lonely at times. Life can be incredible as well.

Sleep has been strange lately. One reason I was excited to leave was to escape the habit of sleeping until half the day was over then be sad about it the whole day, accomplishing nothing. I woke up at 1:00 in the afternoon today. Oops, guess that problem wasn't due primarily to locatio n. The sun setting at 4:30 over a beautifully sunny/partly cloudy day when I'd accomplished nothing kind've showed me that the sun won't wait around for my sloth to dissipate.

I'm trying to write. Maybe I'll throw up my stories on Livejournal for you all to read and opine about. I need to work on my imagery though. My imagery is as a traveller caught in a dense forest, sleeping under one tree, afraid to venture deeper and discover what he was looking for in the first place.

I hope everyone on the ol' LJ is doin' "faboo" as one of my favorite co-employees would say. I'm gonna start flooding LJ with thoughts by the way, so be prepared to either read or skip many a message.

G'night friends and well-wishers. I wish you well as well, as I well with pride as deep as a deep well.

Wellingly,
Lucas

I just played an online game that teamed me up with an absolutely random person, and he was awesome. Afterwards he asked me where i was from, I told him from Portland, he asked if I played another game, and I asked if he was from Temecula, and it turned out we knew each other! We became friends like 6 months before I left. Needless to say, I got goosebumps and my brain exploded. The world is such a small place in such a good way.

Well, just thought I'd share that, it made me feel warm and happy at the same time.

I miss everybody, and I hope that the memories we shared were warm ones as well. Good night friends.

Ah, the season of fall. Leaves, falling to the ground. People, falling because the ground is covered in leaves. Children taking true and fall-se tests about the Fall-kland islands. It's a wonderous thing. It has nothing to do with that Hats on Baby comic, that comic just makes me smile.

Jeez, having internet is bringing me back. Having lost it for so long I remember how easily it can waste time, and in time add waist. Like, get chubby, from sitting at the computer all the time. It's a pun.

Healthy living is so important! I have a nice job with good people, a four and a half mile bike ride to and from work, usually, some healthy goodness at home to cook and eat, and a couple to a few friends, one of them being my roommate.

I don't know where I'm going with this, but I don't like long lposts, so maybe I'll start posting more frequently and seeing if it all comes back.

In closing, I miss everybody. Raise your kids in an area they'll want to come back to. I miss having a family and life-spanning friendships.

So it's been a while eh? Well, to update, still workin' at Starbucks, not really making anything of myself yet. I've been reading more, which has been nice, and I love Portland. I miss friends, but I love Portland. The weather is perfect again, with blue-ish skies and lots of clouds, a wind that's none to chilly, and stuff. I got a new bicycle with a friend that I met down here through another friend in Temecula.

It's pretty darn sweet. )
So there is that, and this is the end of the post. I'll try to update more often. There's a woman inside of Starbucks reading Barack Obama's autobiography. I really like Portland.
